talking about are CO2 or carbon dioxide emissions. Carbon Dioxide is released
into the atmosphere and absorbed back in many ways. Till about 1750, nature
could manage to maintain a balance between the emission and absorption of CO2. Plants
and oceans were doing a great job in absorbing the released CO2 and not much
was left behind in the atmosphere than what was required. This balance ensured
that only a negligible impact is caused on Mother Earth.
Then what caused the problem?
It was only when
humans started to interfere with the ways of nature that carbon emission became

from individual humans can go a long way in reducing carbon footprints in the
universe. It is a conscious choice that every person can make. Here is what you

- · Opt for public transport, car pool or a bicycle to work instead of driving your personal cars
- · Plant trees at home and neighbourhood
- · Conserve unnecessary spent of fuel and water
- · Buy less of industrial products
- · Eat less meat and more greens
- · Look for energy efficiency rating while buying new appliances
- · Install solar rooftop panels to generate and consume renewable energy
- · Make most use of daylight instead of artificial light, etc.
Besides carbon
emissions in individual capacity, the major cause of trouble is the emissions
released by industries and plants and other man-made activities that disturb

- Discourage Deforestation: CO2 is naturally absorbed by plants during photosynthesis. However, when we cut down forests for the sake of civilization, this absorption ratio gets unbalanced causing higher CO2 to remain in air and get trapped in the atmosphere.
